Investment Summit day-4: How Bangladesh can harness potentials in Asia-Pacific region

Bangladesh needs to address various technical, tariff and non-tariff, regulatory and institutional issues that hold back the potential trade and investment growth.

Such challenges and probable solutions are expected to be highlighted at a webinar titled “Asia & Pacific and Bangladesh: Harnessing Economic Potentials” today (Friday).

The Ministry of Commerce and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) have organised the discussion on the 4th day of the week-long Bangladesh Trade & Investment Summit 2021.

Business leaders, experts and officials may discuss how Bangladesh offers regional and global market access through outstanding return, growing infrastructure development and technological advancement.

Mr Md Tofazzel Hossain Miah, Secretary, at the Prime Minister’s Office, is scheduled to join the webinar as the chief guest.

Ms Fatima Yasmin, Secretary of the Economic Relations Division, the Ministry of Finance, Mr ITO Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Bangladesh, will also attend the webinar as the special guest and guest of honour respectively.
