Jamuna Bank celebrates International Women’s Day with awareness sessions

Jamuna Bank PLC celebrated International Women’s Day at its head office on March 8 with due enthusiasm, according to a media statement Tuesday.
The theme of this year’s observance was “Rights, Justice and Action for All Women and Girls”.
Managing Director and CEO Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the programme.
Major General (retd) Professor Dr Liza Chowdhury and Professor Dr Fauzia Hossain attended the event as special guests.
Additional Managing Director Md Abdus Salam, Deputy Managing Directors Noor Mohammed, AKM Atiqur Rahman and Mohammad Jahangir Alam, along with other senior officials of the bank, were also present on the occasion.
As part of the programme, awareness sessions were conducted on important women’s health issues, including cervical cancer, breast cancer and endometriosis, aimed at promoting greater health awareness and well-being among women.
