Jetway Hajj Group is striving to make Hajj more accessible and affordable for Muslims from Bangladesh through a combination of tailored packages and improved service delivery, said its Chief Executive Officer Masum Billah.

In an interview, he said his firm has been providing Hajj and Umrah services for nearly 17 years since its establishment in 2009. Over the years, it has built a reputation for reliability and quality service in facilitating pilgrimage journeys, he added.

According to Masum Billah, Jetway Hajj Group operates with full government approval and international recognition, and the firm is authorised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and licensed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Bangladesh. In addition, the company is an IATA-accredited travel agency and a member of the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB), he said.

The Jetway Hajj Group CEO said the firm primarily serves pilgrims from Bangladesh, offering both Hajj and Umrah services. Beyond religious travel, it also provides international tour packages across Asia, Europe, Africa, the United States, and Canada, along with visa processing services for tourist and business travellers, he added.

According to him, each year, the company facilitates Hajj for around 200 pilgrims, while approximately 2,000 people avail themselves of its Umrah services.

Masum Billah said Jetway Hajj Group offers a range of packages designed to cater to different financial capacities and comfort levels—VIP, luxury, and standard packages—ensuring options for both premium and budget-conscious pilgrims.

The packages are all-inclusive, covering visa processing, air tickets, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, local transportation in Saudi Arabia, meals as per package, and guidance from experienced muallims, he noted.

The Jetway Hajj Group CEO informed that his firm also provides separate and customised Umrah packages for families, individuals, and corporate groups.

The duration of Hajj packages varies depending on the category—VIP packages typically range from 14 to 20 days, while standard packages can extend from 20 to 40 days, he said.

Accommodation arrangements are another key aspect of the firm’s service offering. According to Masum Billah, VIP package holders are accommodated in five-star hotels located close to the Haram, while standard package pilgrims stay in three-star hotels. During the core Hajj period in Mina and Arafat, the firm ensures premium A-grade tents in Zone 1 to minimise walking distance and enhance comfort, he said.

Masum Billah said that to prepare pilgrims for the spiritual journey, Jetway Hajj Group conducts comprehensive three-day orientation programmes, both online and offline.

He said Jetway Hajj Group aims to further enhance its services by focusing on innovation and improved service quality, with the goal of providing a more comfortable, hassle-free, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience.

Shedding some light on the challenges his firm faces, Masum Billah said, “Frequent policy changes by the Saudi authorities require continuous adjustments, while rising airfares have a direct impact on the overall cost of Hajj packages. Even so, our firm remains committed to making the pilgrimage more accessible and affordable for a broader segment of Muslims.”
