PRAN-RFL clinches seven national export trophies, including three golds

PRAN-RFL Group has achieved a remarkable feat by securing seven national export trophies, with three of them being prestigious gold awards, in recognition of its contributions to the export sector for the fiscal year 2021-22. The renowned conglomerate was honoured by the Commerce Ministry for its exemplary performance in exporting agro-processing, plastic goods, melamine, and light engineering products.
During a special ceremony held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the trophies to PRAN-RFL Group, says a media statement..
This latest recognition marks the 21st consecutive year that PRAN-RFL Group has been bestowed with the esteemed 'National Export Trophy' as the leading exporter in the country. Besides, the group has set a record by receiving three gold trophies in a single financial year.
In the agro processing category, PRAN emerged victorious in all award segments, with Habiganj Agro Ltd, PRAN Agro Ltd, and PRAN Foods Ltd securing the gold, silver, and bronze accolades, respectively. Allplast Bangladesh Ltd and Banga Plastic International Ltd, subsidiaries of RFL Group, claimed the gold and bronze trophies in the plastic goods sector. Additionally, Durable Plastic Ltd was honoured with a gold trophy in the melamine sector, while Rangpur Metal Industries Ltd received the bronze trophy in the light engineering category.
In the program, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group received the gold trophies on behalf of Habiganj Agro and Allplast Bangladesh from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. AKM Moinul Islam Moin and Saiful Islam Sikder, Executive Director of the group received the award on behalf of PRAN Agro and PRAN Foods respectively. Therefore, R N Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group received the awards on behalf of Durable Plastic, Banga Plastic and Rangpur Metal Industries.
Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group, said, “Bangladesh is aiming for hundreds of billions of dollars in export revenue in the coming years by emphasising export diversification. So, we have to focus more on other potential sectors in addition to the ready-made garments industry. PRAN-RFL Group has been working hard on export diversification and is beginning to see success. This year PRAN-RFL Group has been recognised in four categories, which is a great pleasure for us. We are very hopeful that export trophies will come in more sectors very soon”
