Prime Bank launches Co-Branded Credit Card with CPA to enhance financial convenience in port

Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA), has officially launched the CPA–Prime Bank Co-Branded VISA Card—marking a significant milestone in enhancing financial convenience and delivering exclusive benefits to stakeholders within the CPA ecosystem.

The co-branded VISA card has been designed to ensure seamless transactions, improve operational efficiency and provide tailored financial solutions for individuals and businesses associated with the port community, according to a media release. 

The official launching ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Hotel Sheraton Dhaka.

Rear Admiral S. M. Moniruzzaman, Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority, as Chief Guest, Azam J. Chowdhury, Chairman of Prime Bank Foundation, Faisal Rahman, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank PLC, officially inaugurated the card.

Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager of VISA and M. Nazeem A. Choudhury, Additional Managing Director of Prime Bank PLC were also present at the event.

Rear Admiral S. M. Moniruzzaman, Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority attended the event as the Chief Guest.

He stated that, “We believe our initiative to advance digital transformation at the port will be strengthened by today’s partnership with Prime Bank. We congratulate all those involved in making this collaboration possible. This partnership will modernize the port’s payment system, making it more efficient and user-friendly, while simplifying business operations. Users will benefit from more secure and transparent transactions. We are confident that such initiatives will enhance operational efficiency and support the port’s continued growth.”

Senior officials also attended the launch event from Prime Bank PLC and Chittagong Port Authority.
