RFL started exporting PVC sanitary fittings to the UK after the goods were exported to some other countries recently.

The first consignment of sanitary fittings was sent to the UK from the factory of RFL Fittings, located at Habiganj Industrial Park in Habiganj on January 10, according to a media release.

Debashish Sarkar, Head of Marketing of RFL Fittings said, “We have entered the European market by exporting the fittings to the UK. We have already shipped 20 metric tonnes of fittings in our first consignment from our factory and will ship several more in the next few months.

Soon, we will export our fittings to Oman. Therefore, our people are also working to send PVC fittings to the USA.”

In the past, about 90 per cent of the total pipes and fittings used in Bangladesh were imported from different countries including China, India and Malaysia.

But now the situation has changed a lot, as almost all the pipes and fittings used in the country are made by local producers, Md Jahangir Alam, Executive Director of RFL Plastics Limited said.

RFL Fittings started its export journey by exporting to India.  Currently, RFL pipe and fittings are being exported to countries such as India, Nepal, Brunei, Samoa and Ghana.
