Rupali Bank pays homage to language martyrs

State-owned Rupali Bank PLC has paid tribute to the martyrs of the Language Movement on the occasion of Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day 2026, says a press statement.

The bank’s Managing Director, Kazi Md Wahidul Islam, led the tribute by placing a wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital on Saturday (February 21).

Deputy Managing Directors Tahamina Akhter and Hasan Tanvir were also present on the occasion.

Among others, General Managers Md Noman Mia, Md Moin Uddin Masud, Tanvir Hasnain Moin, Abu Naser Mohammad Masud and Salamun Nesa, along with officials and employees at all levels of the bank, were also in attendance.

Wreaths were also placed at the Central Shaheed Minar by Rupali Bank Zia Parishad, the Employees’ Union CBA and the Drivers’ Welfare Association to pay homage to the language martyrs.
