Shimanto Bank Inks MoU with Ministry of Finance to Provide Home Loans for Government Officials and Employees

Shimanto Bank PLC has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, at the conference room of the Finance Division in the Secretariat.

Under this MoU, all permanent government officials and employees can avail home loans under a special scheme through Shimanto Bank PLC.

In this regard, a portion of the loan interest will be subsidized by the government, while the remaining portion will be borne by the borrower.

The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Mohammad Abul Hashem, Additional Secretary, Planning, Development and Reform wing, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Md. Nurul Azim, Managing Director & CEO, Shimanto Bank PLC and Ms. Ferdous Rowshan Ara, Additional Secretary, Admin & Planning, Finance Division, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Mr. Mohammad Golam Kabir, Deputy Secretary, Housing Building Loan Branch (Additional Charge), Mr. T. S. Shamim Siddiky, Deputy Secretary, House Building Loan Cell-2 (Additional Charge), Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Md. Sahidul Islam, Head of Business, Mr. Mohammad Masud Sajjad, Head of Retail Asset & Liabilities, Shimanto Bank PLC along with senior officials from both institutions were present during the signing ceremony.
