Sombhabona hosts special Eid celebration for over 200 underprivileged children

Sombhabona, a volunteer organization, has been making Eid special for underprivileged children every year by providing them with Eid gifts and a memorable celebration.
The organization hosted the "Pushpokoli Eid Festival and Iftar 2025" in Mirpur on Saturday, bringing together 200 children from Pushpokoli School, a project run by Sombhabona, along with members of the local community to share in the spirit of Eid, according to a media release.
The children were treated to gifts, a festive atmosphere, and a meaningful iftar meal, ensuring they experienced the joy and warmth of Eid.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, Chairman of Sonali Bank Bangladesh; Mohammad Tofazzal Ali, Executive Director of Standard Group; Kakoli Jahan Ahmed, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank; Dr. Kazi Safayet Enam, Ariful Islam, Founder of Sombhabona; Tasnuva Ahmed, Founding president of JCI Dhaka Independent, Fakrul Alam, and National Vice President of JCI Bangladesh.
Also present were Sombhabona’s Co-Founders—Mushfika Nishat, Al Amin Hossain and Arefin Mahadi—along with volunteers and well-wishers who came together to make the event a success.
