Tabith Awal & Nazneen Ahmad appointed as Directors of National Bank

Tabith Awal and Nazneen Ahmad have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of National Bank PLC.
They were appointed as Directors by Bangladesh Bank on March 31, 2026, under the authority conferred by Sections 45 and 47(3) of the Bank Company Act, 1991, according to a press release.
The two newly appointed Directors participated in the 541st meeting of the Board of Directors of National Bank PLC on April 5, 2026.
The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Melita Mehjabeen, Chairman of the Bank; Moazzam Hossain, Vice Chairman & Sponsor Director; Muklesur Rahman, Chairman of the Executive Committee & Independent Director; Md. Abdus Satter Sarkar, Chairman of the Audit Committee & Independent Director; Md. Zulkar Nayn, Independent Director; Munir Ahmed Chowdhury, Observer from Bangladesh Bank; and Adil Chowdhury, Managing Director of the Bank.
Director Tabith Awal is a well-known business leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience across banking, insurance, real estate, energy, agriculture, textiles, and information technology sectors.
He currently serves as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Multimode Group. He also previously served as a Director of National Bank PLC from 2001 to 2003.
He is currently the President of the Bangladesh Football Federation. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Management Information Systems from The George Washington University, USA.
Director Nazneen Ahmad is a distinguished business professional with over two decades of experience in the garments, chemicals, and packaging sectors in Bangladesh. She currently serves as Chairman of Dye Affin Ltd. and Officina BD Ltd.
She is also the Managing Director of TS Holdings Ltd. and Zyta Garments Ltd., and serves as Director of several reputed companies including TS Packaging Ltd., Denimach Ltd., and Denimach Washing Ltd.
She began her professional career as a Consular Assistant at the Canadian High Commission in Dhaka and later worked as a Consultant with CARE Canada, contributing to programs focused on women’s empowerment and rural livelihood development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s Studies from McGill University, Canada.
