Mr Sheikh Farid (JDS Scholar), Joint Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division (FID), Ministry of Finance, and Mr Md Matiur Rahman, FCA, FCMA, Professional Accountant, have officially joined the Board of Directors of state-owned BASIC Bank Limited.
They participated in the 678th meeting of the board, held on April 30, 2025, according to a press release.
On behalf of the board, Mr Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman of the Board of Directors, welcomed the newly appointed directors with floral greetings.
Among others, Mr Md M. Latif Bhuiyan and Mr Md Rafiqul Islam, Directors of the Board; Mr Md Quamruzzaman, Managing Director and CEO of BASIC Bank; Mr Abu Md Mofazzal and Mr Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Directors; and Mr Md Hasan Imam, General Manager and Company Secretary of BASIC Bank, were also present on the occasion.
Recently, a gazette notification was issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance regarding their appointment as the Director of BASIC Bank Limited for a term of three (03) years, the release adds.
