UCB achieves the milestone of opening over 100,000 new accounts in just 36 working days

United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), one of the leading private banks in the country, has achieved an unprecedented milestone by opening over 100,000 new accounts in just 36 working days.

This remarkable achievement was accomplished through the bank’s branches, sub-branches, agent outlets, and digital platforms, according to a press release. 

The majority of these new accounts belong to individual customers and small entrepreneurs, reflecting a growing trust in the banking sector among this segment.

On this historic milestone, UCB’s Managing Director and CEO, Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, stated, "Despite various challenges and negative trends, opening over 100,000 new accounts in just 36 working days during the first quarter of the new financial year is a matter of great pride and joy for us.
