ENGLAND's upcoming tour of Bangladesh is an important event on our sport calendar. Cricket-loving people of Bangladesh are looking forward to it with great expectations. The England team is scheduled to tour Bangladesh in October this year and will play two Tests and three one-dayers. But the recent incident at a Gulshan restaurant in Dhaka has cast a shadow of uncertainty over the tour. It will be very disappointing for cricket-loving people of Bangladesh if the tour is called off.
The tour starts after two and half months and we all hope the situation will improve soon and the tour will go ahead on schedule. The Tigers have been playing some good cricket lately and it will be a good test for their cricketing ability as they face the strong English side in their own backyard. I know the safety and security are very important and the Bangladesh government will take all possible measures to ensure security of the visiting team. The Tigers will tour New Zealand in December and will play two Tests, three ODIs and two T20 matches.
