Bangladesh received inward remittance amounting to $2.53 billion in February, which was the third-highest monthly remittance netting in the country’s history.
According to data from Bangladesh Bank (BB), the foreign exchange-starving country bagged the highest remittance in December last year ($2.64 billion) followed by July’s count around of $2.60 billion in 2020.
With the latest figure, the country received $18.49 billion in the first eight months of the fiscal (FY’25), which is 23.8 per cent higher than that of the same period of the previous fiscal year (FY’24).
