Denmark keen to invest in Bangladesh's port
The country wants to invest in pharmaceutical sector, offshore wind energy

Denmark has expressed keen interest in investing in Bangladesh's port infrastructure and offshore wind energy and supporting further development of the pharmaceutical sector.
These were revealed while Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh Christian Brix Moller held a meeting with Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin at the foreign ministry on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the foreign secretary welcomed increasing interests of Danish companies for investments in Bangladesh, reports BSS citing a media release.
Jashim highlighted the interim government's reform initiatives and thanked Denmark for its specific offer of support to Bangladesh in the areas of good governance, democracy, human rights, institutional capacity building as well as rehabilitation of the victims of torture.
The foreign secretary said Bangladesh highly valued and attached great importance to its longstanding relations with Denmark.
He said that Dhaka looked forward to transforming Bangladesh-Denmark bilateral relations into a broad-based economic partnership with a particular focus on trade and investment, sustainability and green transition.
Both sides expressed the two countries' desire to further strengthen bilateral relations for mutual benefit.
Danish envoy congratulated Jashim on his recent appointment as the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh.
