The average inflation rate in Bangladesh was recorded at 9.92 per cent last month, according to the latest data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).
Local newspapers said the BBS published the data on Sunday.
The average inflation was 9.69 per cent in July. The country witnessed an increase in inflation in August after a fall in the previous two consecutive months.
Food inflation in August was at 12.54 per cent, the highest in the country. The rate was at 9.76 per cent in July.
