The inflow of remittances witnessed a significant year-on-year growth of 16.7 per cent through the first 28 days of September.
According to the latest data issued by the Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Monday, the total inflow of remittances reached $2.47 billion during this period.
This represents a notable increase compared to the previous year, when the country's remittance inflow stood at $2.11 billion during the same time frame.
The growth trend is also reflected in the cumulative figures for the current fiscal year. During the period from July to September 28, 2025, expatriates sent remittances totalling $7.37 billion.
This performance surpasses the figures from the same period in the previous fiscal year, which saw remittances amounting to $6.25 billion.
