Mobile financial interoperability crucial for Bangladesh’s payment future: BB Governor

Bangladesh Bank (BB) governor Dr Ahsan H. Mansur on Tuesday said the country made significant progress in the payment system over the years excepting mobile financial interoperability. 

The country now needs to ensure mobile financial interoperability service that will help execute large volumes of transactions. 

"And the BB is now working on it," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a programme titled "Transforming the payment landscape; an area of revolution". 

The payment system department of the central bank organized the event marking 12 years of the department's journey.
