Prices of self-copy paper, duplex boards, coated paper may go up

The interim government is set to double the Value Added Tax (VAT) at the production stage of self-copy paper, duplex boards, and coated paper for the fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26) in the national budget.
The VAT will be raised to 15 per cent from 7.5 per cent in the proposed national budget.
Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed is scheduled to present the budget before the nation at 3:00 pm today (Monday).
The pre-recorded budget speech will be broadcast through Bangladesh Television (BTV), Bangladesh Betar, and all private television channels.
