The government has allocated Taka 128.69 billion (12,869 crore) for the Ministry of Water Resources in the proposed budget for the fiscal year (FY) 2025-26.
Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today (Monday) proposed the allocation after unveiling a Taka 7.9 trillion (7,90,000 crore) national budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, BSS reports.
Of the total allocation, Taka 121.55 billion (12,155 crore) was proposed for development and Taka 7.14 billion (714 crore) for operational purposes.
The allocation is Taka 700 million (70 core) higher than the revised budget of the previous FY 2024-25.
