Cyclone Mocha has showed signs of losing strength at noon on Sunday.
The eye of the storm was 200 km south of Cox’s Bazar Port, 285 km south-southwest of Chattogram Sea Port, and 345 km south-southeast of Payra Port, reports bdnews24.com.
Within 74 km of the storm’s centre, maximum sustained winds ranged from 160-180 kph.
The centre of the very severe cyclonic storm is likely to cross Cox's Bazar-North Myanmar coast by 3:00pm on Sunday, reports BSS citing the latest weather bulletin.
"The centre of the very severe cyclonic storm is likely to cross Cox's Bazar-North Myanmar coast by 3:00 pm and the whole body (part) of the system will complete crossing the coast near Sittwe by this evening", the bulletin elaborated.
