Export earnings from the agricultural products dropped by 7.2 per cent in the past fiscal year (FY17), according to the latest statistics of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
It showed that earnings from the export of agricultural products stood at $553.17 million in FY17 which was $596 million in FY16.
EPB data also showed that the strategic annual target of export earnings was $608 million for the past fiscal year.
Thus, actual earnings missed the target by 9 per cent during the period under review.
