‘Indian hackers’ claim cyber attacks in Bangladesh

A hacker group has claimed to have initiated cyber attacks in Bangladesh since 9:30am, a local news outlet reports. 

Describing themselves as Indian hackers, the group announced this on Telegram and other social media networks. 

The hacker group also claimed to have already attacked the websites of two private hospitals and the Bangladesh Navy.

Earlier, on August 30, the hacker group threatened to launch cyber attacks in Bangladesh. On September 02, they again made a threat to carry out another cyber attack on January 24 of next year. 

The ICT ministry held a meeting regarding this matter on Sep 12 and urged important government and non-government organisations to remain vigilant.
