Int’l confce on challenges for sustained growth in Asia begins in Seoul Sept 7

A two-day  international conference titled  ‘Prospects and Challenges for Sustained Growth in Asia’, co-organised by the Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Bank of Korea, the Peterson Institute for International Economics, and the IMF begins in Seoul on September 7.

The conference will analyse the potential drivers of stagnation, their macroeconomic impacts, and implications for policymakers, said a statement of IMF.

The opening session will feature the participation of IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde who will deliver an opening address. The conference will include several sessions with IMF senior officials, policymakers, and analysts.
