Bangladesh received US$2.13 billion in remittances during the first 22 days of November, according to updated figures released by Bangladesh Bank on Sunday.
With this, the total remittance inflow for the ongoing fiscal year (FY 2025-26) reached $12.28 billion between July and November 22.
The country received an average of around $97 million in remittances per day during the period.
According to the central bank, private commercial banks received $1.48 billion of total $2.13 billion while state-owned banks collected $424 million, specialised banks $218 million and foreign banks $4 million.
Fiscal year growth and recent trend
The $12.28 billion received so far in FY 2025-26 marks a 14.7 per cent increase from the same period of the previous fiscal year, when remittances stood at $10.17 billion.
Bangladesh Bank data also shows steady inflows in recent months: $2.48 billion in July, $2.42 billion in August, $2.68 billion in September and $2.56 billion in October.
