103 undergraduate seats still vacant at IU after first merit list

A total of 103 undergraduate seats remain vacant at Islamic University in Kushtia following the enrollment of candidates from the first merit list in the cluster-based GST admission test for the 2023-24 academic session. The university academic unit confirmed the information on Tuesday.
According to the academic unit source, there are a total of 2,370 seats across 36 departments under 8 faculties. So far, 2,267 students have completed their admissions.
The breakdown of vacant seats includes 25 in the ‘A’ unit, 45 in the ‘B’ unit, and 33 in the ‘C’ unit, while the ‘D’ unit has no remaining seats.
Md Shahedul Islam, the sub-register of the academic unit, told Financial Express (FE) that the admissions committee will convene to make a final decision regarding the remaining seats. He indicated that these vacancies will be filled based on the committee’s resolution.
Classes for the 2023-24 academic session are set to commence on November 2.
