A total of 48,719 students have submitted their applications for taking part in the admission test for entry into first year honours courses at Islamic University (IU) under 2018-19 academic sessions.
Around 22 students will vie for one seat in the entry test, according to the IU Computer Centre.
A total of 1,996 students have applied for 240 seats under 'A' unit (Theology Faculty) while 21,208 against 1,035 seats under 'B' unit (Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty), 7,147 for 450 seats under 'C' unit (Business Administration Faculty) and 18,368 for 550 seats under 'D' unit (Applied Sciences and Technology faculty), said Prof Paresh Chandra Barman, director of IU Computer Centre.
The admission test will be start on November 4 and will continue till November 7, he added, reports UNB.
