49th Special BCS: Admit cards available for download from Sunday

Job seekers can download the admit card for the 49th Special BCS written examination, which is scheduled for next Friday, starting from Sunday night.

More than 312,000 candidates applied to take the multiple-choice question (MCQ) test for this Special BCS, which aims to recruit 683 teachers for government colleges.

Public Service Commission (PSC) spokesman SM Matiur Rahman said on Sunday, “We have sent the admit cards to Teletalk. It is currently running the technical process so that candidates can download the document.

“Once this work is finished, candidates will be able to download the admit cards starting from [Sunday night].”

The commission said the candidates can download their admit cards from the PSC website (www.bpsc.gov.bd) and the Teletalk website (http://bpsc.teletalk.com.bd).

According to a notice issued by the PSC on Sept 10, the MCQ test will only be held in Dhaka from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Friday.

The PSC issued the 49th Special BCS notification on Jul 21, seeking to recruit 653 teachers for government general colleges and 30 teachers for government teacher training colleges.

Applications opened at 12:10pm on Jul 22 and closed at 6pm on Aug 22.

Applicants were required to pay a fee of Tk 200, while those from underprivileged communities paid Tk 50.

The maximum age limit for candidates was set at 32 years.
