6th International Conference on EEICT begins at MIST

The sixth International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information and Communication Technology (ICEEICT 2024) kicked off at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) on Thursday (02 May).

Chief of Army Staff General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed attended the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest. Commandant of MIST Major General Mohammed Saidul Islam was present as chief patron, according to a media statement.

IEEE President, CEO and the Founding Director of the Advanced Research Institute at Virginia Tech, USA Professor Saifur Rahman and Chair of IEEE, Bangladesh Section Professor Dr M Moshiul Hoque were present at the inaugural ceremony as special delegates from IEEE.

Head of EECE Department, MIST Brig Gen Md Rezaul Awal and Professor Dr Md Hossam-E-Haider were patron and conference chair respectively.

At the conference, researchers and professionals from both academia and industry from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, China, United Arab Emirates and India along with Bangladesh are participating for sharing up-to-date knowledge and experience in the fields of Electrical, Electronic Engineering and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The closing ceremony of the conference will be held at MIST on Saturday (04 May). State Minister for Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, will join the ceremony as the chief guest.
