8th Chemistry Olympiad begins Jan 19

The 8th Bangladesh Chemistry Olympiad will begin on January 19.

HSC and A level students will participate in the Olympiad organised by Bangladesh Chemical Society.

The preliminary round will be organised at eleven centres of different divisions on the day while the final round will be held at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on February 16.

The registration for the 8th Bangladesh Chemistry Olympiad started from December 17 in 2017 and continued till January 10, a news agency reported.

The Chemistry Olympiad of Sylhet region will be held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, said Professor Dr Abdus Sobhan of Chemistry department.

Around 1,500 students from 42 educational institutions in four districts will participate in the Olympiad in Sylhet region.

Finally, the twenty best participants will take part in the final round.
