Abul Khair Group has honoured the children of its employees who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC and HSC examinations this year.
Like every year, the country’s leading and diversified industrial conglomerate organised a grand ceremony to celebrate the young achievers, according to a press release.
On Sunday (November 9), a total of 65 meritorious students were recognized at a colorful event titled “You Are the Builders of Tomorrow’s Bangladesh” held at the National Shooting Club Auditorium in Dhaka. Among them, 44 students were from the secondary level and 21 from the higher secondary level.
The event was graced by Abul Khair Group’s Brand Marketing Director Naushad Chowdhury as the chief guest, while renowned educator, entrepreneur, and Ten Minute School Founder and CEO Ayman Sadiq attended as the special guest. Also present were Brigadier General (Retd.) Mohammed Mamun, Executive Director of Abul Khair Group; Sheikh Shabab Ahmed, Head of Corporate Affairs & Legal; Saad Jasim, Divisional Head of HR; and Md. Nurul Afsar, Assistant General Manager (HR), along with other senior officials of the Group.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Naushad Chowdhury said, “Today, we celebrate the success of our family members. This day holds great significance for us. Every generation faces its own challenges, and the world is undergoing major transformations. In this changing time, young people must plan for higher education aligned with technological advancement.”
He added, “Today, skills are valued more than degrees — young people should focus on developing their abilities accordingly.”
Addressing the students, Brigadier General (Retd.) Mohammed Mamun said, “There is no shortcut to success. Determination and perseverance are essential to achieving one’s goals.”
Divisional HR Head Saad Jasim encouraged the youth to develop multiple skills to thrive in the future.
Special Guest Ayman Sadiq remarked, “This year, even passing the exams was a challenge — so those who earned GPA-5 are truly exceptional.” He urged parents to nurture their children with care and advised students to keep acquiring new skills to prepare for the changing world.
Each awardee received a crest, gift, and certificate from Abul Khair Group. The event was attended by the achievers, their parents, and teachers.
Organizers also announced that a similar event will soon be held in the port city of Chattogram.
