AIUB hosts ‘Let’s Talk with the UNDP Resident Representative’

American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) hosted a special event titled “Let’s Talk with the UNDP Resident Representative”, featuring Stefan Liller at the university campus on April 9, 2026.

Themed “Partners for Progress: Exploring UNDP and Bangladesh’s Evolving Collaboration Through the Eyes of Youth,” the event provided an engaging platform for AIUB’s Young Future Leaders, where students and faculty members from various departments participated in a roundtable discussion with the UNDP Resident Representative, Stefan Liller, according to a media release. 

Key topics discussed included Youth & SDGs, Climate Action & Green Investment, and Democracy, Rights & Gender Equality.

Md. Abdul Quayyum, Head of Communications, UNDP Bangladesh, was also present at the event.

The meeting was attended by the university’s top leadership, including Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor; Gp. Capt. (Retd) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, Registrar; and Prof. Dr. S.A.M. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, along with Prof. Dr. Farheen Hassan of AIUB.

During the official meeting with the UNDP Resident Representative, key areas for future collaboration between AIUB and UNDP were discussed.

The AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) honored Stefan Liller with a special cultural performance, the release adds.
