BRAC University's student-led organisation, BRAC University Entrepreneurship Development Forum (BUEDF), is hosting the much-anticipated Entrepreneurs Fest 4.0 from 25 to 26 August. This two-day event will ignite innovation and spark entrepreneurial energy on campus, transcending a typical festival as a transformative call to action for every aspiring entrepreneur. With its dynamic format and deeply motivational ethos, the festival represents a pivotal moment for students to reshape their career trajectories and embrace the entrepreneurial mindset.
In today's rapidly evolving economic landscape, entrepreneurial thinking has become essential for personal and professional success. Entrepreneurs Fest 4.0 recognises that entrepreneurship isn't merely about starting businesses-it's about developing critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, resilience, and the courage to innovate. The event serves as a catalyst for self-development, encouraging students to step beyond their comfort zones and explore their potential as future leaders and change-makers.
The festival's approach to entrepreneurial mindset development is comprehensive and immersive. By exposing students to real-world challenges, success stories, and practical frameworks, the event cultivates essential entrepreneurial qualities: risk assessment, creative problem-solving, leadership skills, and the ability to identify opportunities where others see obstacles. These competencies are invaluable whether students choose to launch their own ventures or excel as intrapreneurs within established organisations.
Entrepreneurs Talk 2.0, the flagship segment, will be held on 25 August 2025, from 2:15 pm to 5:15 pm at BRAC University's auditorium with free entry. This high-impact session features industry leaders sharing their transformative journeys and hard-earned insights. Student entrepreneurs will engage directly with the most successful Bangladeshi entrepreneurs, learning from their experiences and gaining perspective on overcoming business hardships.
The event boasts distinguished speakers including Tanveer Ali, independent director of Startup Bangladesh Limited and chairman of Constellation Asset Management Company Limited, serving as the chief guest. Featured expert panellists include Anupom Syam, founder of Tackle & AXAR AI - a Y Combinator-backed startup and senior director of AI Engineering at FICO; Arefin Zaman, co-founder of MedEasy, Sakib Hossain, founder of Fashol and Mohammad Ilmul Haque, co-founder of Sheba Platform Limited. From Y Combinator frameworks to Forbes 30 Under 30 insights, participants will learn from some of Bangladesh's most inspiring entrepreneurial figures.
Programme highlights include the comprehensive Founder's Toolkit Workshop featuring Y Combinator frameworks, the innovative Student Obstacle Pitch where participants present real challenges for live Expert Solutions, and engaging Rapid-Fire Quiz sessions with exciting prizes. The event also features keynote addresses, an award ceremony, and invaluable networking opportunities with industry leaders. Participants will gain insider knowledge on funding strategies, scaling techniques, and proven methods for overcoming business challenges whilst building meaningful connections within Bangladesh's startup ecosystem.
The thoughtfully planned stalls promise unique experiences with engaging and innovative attractions, ensuring comprehensive interaction and creativity. Each element has been strategically designed to maximise the festive atmosphere whilst providing substantial learning opportunities.
BUEDF's guiding philosophy, "The world doesn't need more plans. It needs more starters, more entrepreneurs like you", perfectly encapsulates the festival's mission to inspire action over mere contemplation. This powerful message urges participants to transform ideas into reality, fostering a culture of implementation and execution.
The festival effectively bridges the often-cited gap between academia and real-world entrepreneurship by providing practical exposure through industry-led sessions, connecting students with experienced mentors and potential investors for early-stage guidance, and positioning the university as a genuine launchpad for startup ventures and innovation. This integrated approach creates a complete ecosystem where ambitious ideas meet practical opportunity, and student potential meets experienced guidance.
Proudly sponsored by Sheltech (Pvt.) Limited in association with Shawarma Damasco, Entrepreneurs Fest 4.0 demonstrates strong industry support for nurturing Bangladesh's entrepreneurial future. This collaboration embodies BUEDF's mission of growing together, growing bigger, making the event much more than a campus gathering-it's a transformative experience that shapes tomorrow's business leaders.
