In a world where markets move faster than academic syllabi, today’s undergraduates face a clear-cut dilemma: knowing finance isn’t enough—learning how to use it is where the game begins. That’s where Capitalizer 2025 comes in.
Capitalizer has become one of Bangladesh’s most demanding investment strategy competitions in its fifth year. Organised by the BUP Finance Society, it’s a battleground for sharp minds to test their mettle—not just with numbers, but with judgment. Since 2018, it has challenged participants to move beyond theory, blend disciplines, and find clarity under pressure. It’s not about who memorises the rules but who plays the game best.
This year’s edition unfolds in three carefully structured rounds. It begins with the round named Crack the Case on June 1, where teams confront tangled business dilemmas and turn them into viable strategies.
Then comes the round - Deal Behind the Bars—a round that simulates the real-world constraints where theory often falls apart. Finally, the best teams reach the Capitalize It Beyond round, the last and most demanding stretch, where participants design and defend long-term strategies grounded in the market’s current chaos.
The competition is already live. Registration closes on May 29. It all kicks off with Workshop I on May 31—a hands-on session to sharpen the analytical tools needed for what lies ahead.
Workshop II returns on June 14, offering strategic refinement before the Semi-finals on June 16. The curtain lifts on the Grand Finale, Capitalize It Beyond, on June 23. Final presentations and the closing ceremony will follow on June 28 at Le Méridien Dhaka, where finalists will pitch their visions to an audience of seasoned professionals.
A total prize pool of BDT 3,00,000. The Champion takes home BDT 1,50,000. The First and Second Runners-Up collect BDT 90,000 and BDT 60,000, respectively.
But beyond the prize money, Capitalizer has always stood for something bigger—a platform where raw intellect meets real opportunity.
