University youths now seek opportunities that extend beyond textbooks, demanding environments where they can test strategies, refine pitches and engage with industry practitioners. This evolution reflects broader changes in how young professionals prepare for careers in an increasingly complex marketplace. Against this backdrop, initiatives that blend competition with structured learning are gaining traction, offering participants not merely theoretical knowledge but practical exposure to decision-making processes, stakeholder negotiations and strategic planning that define modern business operations. One such competition is BIZ VERSE 2025, organised by the BRAC University Business Club.
BIZBEE, is establishing itself as a significant platform for business communication across Bangladesh. Running from October 04 to November 08 at BRAC University, the competition brings together practical challenges with academic rigour. Following a promising first edition in 2024, this year's programme has broadened its scope through nationwide university outreach and increased student participation.
The competition comprises three distinct phases, each designed to develop essential commercial capabilities:
Elevator pitch: Teams present original business concepts through an online submission, demonstrating their ability to identify market opportunities and propose viable solutions. Judges assess creativity, brand positioning and presentation quality, with entries accepted between 19 and 24 October.
The boardroom: Selected teams progress to an in-person focus group discussion on October 31. Participants engage in moderated debates, defending their proposals in a dynamic environment that tests collaboration, persuasion and quick thinking.
The final ascent: On November 08, finalists deliver complete business proposals to a judging panel. This concluding round examines operational strategy, financial planning, growth potential and investment appeal, alongside presentation effectiveness.
Throughout the programme, participants benefit from three industry-led workshops scheduled for October 22 to 29, and November 06. These sessions provide applied training in communication techniques, brand development and market research, ensuring students acquire tangible expertise beyond theoretical frameworks.
The competition offers substantial financial incentives, with a total prize fund of Tk 225,000. Winners receive Tk 100,000, whilst first and second runners-up claim Tk 75,000 and Tk 50,000 respectively. All participants receive certificates and workshop access, positioning the event as a springboard for emerging business professionals.
Registration remains open until 11:59 pm on October 19, 2025 at www.bizverse25.com.
Drawing participants from more than thirty universities, backed by considerable industry engagement and extensive media attention, BIZ VERSE 2025 represents a notable opportunity for young professionals seeking to demonstrate their commercial acumen and leadership capabilities in Bangladesh's evolving business landscape.
The initiative reflects growing recognition of the importance of effective communication and strategic thinking in contemporary commerce. By combining competitive elements with structured learning opportunities, BIZ VERSE 2025 addresses the gap between classroom theory and workplace practice, equipping participants with skills increasingly valued by employers across sectors. Beyond the prize money and certificates, the true value lies in the confidence gained through presenting under pressure, the networks formed across universities, and the practical insights absorbed from industry professionals. For students serious about transitioning from academic study to business leadership, this platform offers a meaningful proving ground.
