The BRAC University Business & Economics Forum concluded its flagship national business case competition, Vitalizers 3.0 at the BRAC University Auditorium recently, reinforcing the event's position as a premier platform for aspiring business leaders across Bangladesh.
Presented by X Ceramics, co-sponsored by Neo Aluminium, and held in association with Berger, the competition brought together ambitious students from universities nationwide to tackle real-world business challenges through strategic thinking and collaborative problem-solving. The third edition of the competition demonstrated substantial growth in both participation quality and execution standards.
After rigorous evaluation rounds, Team Fourmula claimed the championship title and the grand prize of Tk 125,000. House of Aces secured first runner-up position with Tk 75,000, whilst Daal Bhat finished as second runner-up, receiving Tk 50,000. The total prize pool of Tk 250,000 reflected the competition's scale and significance within Bangladesh's academic business community.
The grand finale featured evaluation by a distinguished panel of industry leaders whose collective expertise spans multiple sectors of Bangladesh's business landscape. They are: Wahed Aziz, group CEO of Navana Group; Shoeb Hassan, chief business officer of NextJobz Limited (Akij Resource); Moshiur Rahman, business head at Fair Electronics; Hasnain Mamun, head of human resources at United Commercial Bank PLC; and Syed Nuruzzaman Faisal, head of business development at Syngenta. The panel's industry insights provided participants with valuable perspectives on professional expectations and strategic decision-making.
The competition structure challenged students to bridge academic learning with practical business application, a core objective of the BRAC University Business & Economics Forum. This approach addresses a persistent gap in traditional business education, where theoretical knowledge often remains disconnected from market realities.
BRAC University Business & Economics Forum stands as one of the university's most active student organisations, focusing on experiential learning, professional networking, and large-scale national initiatives. The forum's programming emphasises critical thinking, strategic analysis, and creative problem-solving-skills increasingly demanded by Bangladesh's evolving business environment.
The success of Vitalizers 3.0 represents substantial progress from its inception. What began as a university-level initiative has evolved into a national platform that attracts participation from diverse academic institutions. This expansion reflects growing recognition of case competitions as effective tools for developing practical business acumen beyond classroom instruction.
The competition format allows students to engage with complex business scenarios that mirror challenges faced by professionals, whilst developing presentation skills and analytical frameworks essential for corporate environments. As business education continues adapting to changing market demands, initiatives like Vitalizers 3.0 provide practical experience that complements formal curriculum.
The BRAC University Business & Economics Forum's achievement with Vitalizers 3.0 sets a precedent for student-led initiatives seeking to create meaningful impact beyond campus boundaries. The event's conclusion marks both an accomplishment for this year's participants and a foundation for future editions to build upon.
