B-JET & B-MEET Renewal Ceremony highlights Japan-Bangladesh partnership at NSU

The Career and Placement Center (CPC) of North South University hosted the B-JET & B-MEET Renewal Opening Ceremony today, celebrating the ongoing collaboration with Shinko Shuppansha Keirinkan Co., Ltd., Japan.

The event began with welcome remarks from Professor Dr. Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer of NSU, emphasizing the value of this partnership in building global career opportunities for Bangladeshi youth, according to a media release. 

Mr. Fumikatsu Homma, Managing Director of Keirinkan, introduced their work in Bangladesh, while Mr. Tomohide Ichiguchi, Chief Representative of JICA Bangladesh Office, shared JICA’s expectations for the programs' future.

A joint presentation by Mr. Yuki Morishita (B-JET Project Manager) and Ms. Hamida Mosharraf Moniea (Sr. Lecturer & Coordinator, CPC) showcased the success and future plans of the B-JET and B-MEET programs, which help graduates receive training and job opportunities in Japan.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of North South University.

This was followed by a lively Q&A session, moderated by Professor Dr. Md. Taufiqul Islam, where participants engaged in meaningful discussions and shared valuable reflections.

To mark the occasion, a souvenir handover and group photo session took place, capturing the spirit of collaboration and mutual appreciation, the release adds.
