BAU announces indefinite closure

Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) has announced the indefinite suspension of all educational activities until further notice, considering safety of students.

Students were instructed to vacate the residence halls by 12:00 pm on Thursday, according to a notice signed by the university's Registrar Md. Waliullah on Wednesday.

The decision was taken during an emergency syndicate meeting held on Tuesday.

Regarding the matter, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, said, "Everyone must vacate the halls. We urge everyone to leave the halls. At this moment, we will not permit anyone to stay in the halls; everyone must leave.”
