Bangladesh Lawyers' and Law Students' Association (BLLSA) observed its second founding anniversary.
High Court Justice Md Abu Tariq attended the function as chief guest at A Ka Mu Gias Uddin Milky Auditorium under Farm Gate in Dhaka city on Friday.
The programme was segmented into two sessions, the first of which featured a specialised seminar on alternative dispute resolution in the country.
Barrister Shajib Mahmood Alam, Senior Partner of Counsels Law Partners (CLP), Barrister Wahid Sadiq Khan, Partner of Obiter dictum and Student Speaker, Mohammad Taqi Yasir spoke at the first session as guest speakers.
The second and final session started with the speech of the special guests Nabanita Guho, assistant judge of Mymensingh, Barrister Naser Alam, head of Chambers of MNA Barristers & Associates , Barrister A M Masum, head of Chambers of Lawyers & Jurists, Barrister Khaled Hamid Chowdhury, head of Laws of LCLS (South) and Advocate Shahanara Begum, Advocate of Supreme Court.
Advocate M Rashel Siddiqui, chairman of BLLSA, delivered the closing speech.
BLLSA works to bridge the gap between lawyers and law students and address the difficulties faced by the lawyers with the relevant authorities.
