A book titled Regulating Foreign Direct Investment for Development: Perspectives from Bangladesh has been published through a joint initiative by Islamic University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah and Associate Prof Mia Mahmudur Rahim from the University of New England’s law department.
The 126-page book was published on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, by Taylor & Francis Group’s Routledge.
The book offers a comprehensive overview of the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) regulation and sustainable development in Bangladesh. It also recommends reforms to position development as a primary goal while maintaining Bangladesh's appeal as an FDI destination.
Dr Nasrullah, serving as the 14th Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University, has received international recognition for his contributions to development research.
