The Department of Economics at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has organised a workshop on report writing and project work.
They organised the workshop, titled 'Report Writing and Project Work – A Guide for Beginners', to strengthen the students’ research and academic writing skills.
Prof. Md. Abu Saleh, an eminent educationist and vice president of the BUBT Trustee Board, inaugurated the programme on Tuesday, says a media release.
He said strong report writing skills are essential for producing well-structured dissertations and research papers, noting that students often struggle to translate complex ideas into clear academic work.

Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hassan, associate professor and chairman of the department, delivered the keynote speech, outlining the process of planning and formatting academic reports.
Faculty members also addressed the broader importance of research in building critical thinking and analytical abilities.
