Call for research papers and concept papers for the 10th Chintar Chash Young Researcher Conference, 2025
To explore the innovative potential and nurture the creativity of school students, the voluntary research organisation ‘Chintar Chash’ has been conducting research activities in schools.
As part of this ongoing initiative, ‘Chintar Chash’ is organising the ‘10th Chintar Chash Young Researcher Conference, 2025’ on October 11, 2025, at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC), University of Dhaka, with the participation of school students.
Students from grades 7 to 10 from various schools across the country will present research papers and concept papers at the conference. Interested students are invited to submit their research papers and concept papers.
Bonik Barta and The Financial Express are the Bengali and English media partners, respectively, for this event.
Event Details
Participants: Students from grades 7 to 10 (students from all academic streams: Science, Arts, and Commerce are eligible to participate)
Venue: Teacher-Student Centre (TSC), University of Dhaka
Participation Type:
a. Individual
b. Team (maximum 3 members for concept papers; maximum 4 members for research papers)
Topics: Research papers and concept papers can be submitted on any topic. They will later be categorised accordingly.

Guidelines for Writing Research Papers
Research papers must be written following the scientific method. A research paper should include the following sections:
i. Title: The research should have a title. The title should be a single sentence that provides an overview of the entire research.
ii. Abstract: A concise description of the research methodology and the results obtained.
iii. Introduction: If the research is based on a specific theory or principle, it should be mentioned. Any scientific or subject-specific terms used in the title must be defined. Additionally, the reason for conducting the research should be stated in the introduction.
iv. Methodology: This section should describe how the research was conducted. Any materials or instruments used in the research must be mentioned.
v. Results and Analysis: This section should present the research findings and their significance.
vi. Conclusion: The overall utility of the research results should be mentioned, and potential areas for future research can be identified.
Guidelines for Writing Concept Papers
Concept papers should address problems we face in daily life, issues related to basic human needs (food, clothing, shelter, education, healthcare), global situations that cause concern, or any other problem. Proposed solutions or approaches to these problems should be included in the concept paper. Additionally, concept papers can outline plans or frameworks for inventing a scientific device or project.
Concept papers should follow the format below:
i. Title: The concept paper should have a title. The title should be a single sentence that provides an idea of the problem being addressed and its proposed solution.
ii. Description of the Topic: A brief description of the problem and its impact on people, explaining why a solution is being proposed.
iii. Proposed Solution: A specific proposal on how the problem can be solved.
iv. Expected Outcomes: The anticipated results and their significance.
General Guidelines
- Papers must be typed in Microsoft Word and submitted as a soft copy.
- Page Size: A4, with 1-inch margins on all sides (right, left, top, and bottom).
- Papers can be written in either Bangla or English.
- Use Avro or Bijoy Unicode for typing; Font: Kalpurush (for both Bangla and English).
- Font Size: Heading–18, Subheading–14, Body Text–11/12.
