‘Career Compass 2025’ workshop by JCI Manikganj held at IUB

To prepare the young generation for future career challenges and help them build confidence for professional life, JCI Manikganj organized a unique workshop titled “Career Compass 2025 – Guiding the Next Generation” with the participation of university students.

The event took place on Tuesday, November 11, at the DMK Lecture Gallery of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), where students participated with great enthusiasm, according to a media release.

The workshop was organized in collaboration with IUB’s Career Guidance, Placement and Alumni Relations (CGP & AR) Department and featured two panel discussions along with two individual sessions.

The first panel discussion focused on “Strategic Thinking for Career Growth: Insights from Brand Leaders.”

The session was moderated by Md. Altamis Nabil, Co-Founder of Youth Upskill Network (YUNet), and 2025 National Executive Vice President of JCI Bangladesh.

The panel featured Zoheb Ahmed, CMO of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC; Ileush Mirza Muhammad, Managing Director of Brand Practitioners Bangladesh; and Sumon Haque, Creative Director of SWISH GLOBAL.

The second panel discussion was moderated by Tushar Malek, Founder & CEO of Edroll Education.

The panelists were Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Actress and Social Activist; Mizanur Rahman Sohel, General Secretary of the Online Editors Alliance and Head of Online, Bhorer Kagaj; and Abu Sufian Nilove, 2025 Local President of JCI Manikganj and Chief Photographer of Nijol Creative.

In the individual sessions, Biplob Ghosh Rahul, Founder & CEO of eCourier, delivered a session on “Innovation to Impact: Transforming Ideas into Entrepreneurial Success.”

The workshop began with welcome remarks from Abu Sufian Nilove, Local President 2025 of JCI Manikganj, and Sharmin Islam, Deputy Director of (CGP & AR), IUB.

The event was jointly hosted by RK Jan, Local Treasurer of JCI Manikganj, and Jowad Ul Islam Sadman, a student of IUB.

Speaking on the occasion, Abu Sufian Nilove, Local President 2025 of JCI Manikganj, said, “The core mission of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh is to contribute to sustainable development and empower the next generation to move forward in the right direction. As part of that vision, this workshop was organized to help university students prepare for the modern job market and future challenges.”

Sharmin Islam, Deputy Director of (CGP & AR), IUB, said, “We regularly organize such programs to enhance career awareness among students. We truly appreciate JCI Manikganj’s initiative and look forward to future collaborations.”

During the closing ceremony, Sabrina Parveen Khan, Local Vice President of JCI Manikganj 2025, handed over tokens of appreciation to IUB Career Counselor Farjana Hafiz and all distinguished guests.

The event was graced by Shezan Azim, Advisor to the National President of JCI Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest.

Other notable attendees included Ishtiaq Al Hasan Dip, Local Director, JCI Manikganj; Azmain Habib, Event Director; Farizma Ahmed, Convenor; Afsara Habib Zara and Amir Khosru Sadab, Co-Convenors.
