Bangladesh University of Professionals Economics Club (BUPEC) has organised one of its signature events - POMAC 2.0 Powered by City Bank Ltd.
The grand finale of the event was held on 4th November. Minister of the Planning Ministry, M.A. Mannan was the chief guest of the event and the VC of BUP, Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman was present as the special guest.
12 teams made it to the second round and they had a face-off round criticising other teams’ solutions and advocating their own. Finally, 6 teams made it to the grand finale.
The champion team Razzmatazz was awarded Tk 100,000 for their brilliant solution while the runners-up Team Pac-Man and the second runner up team Y-Nots received Tk 60,000 and Tk 40,000 respectively.
The judging panel for the grand finale included Dr Sakib Bin Amin, Associate Professor of Department of Economics, North South University (NSU), Mr Rabiul Islam Rabi, Research Economist at Research and Policy Integration for Development (RAPID), Sabreena Shareef Badhan, Senior Research Associate at the Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI) and Md. Raied Arman, Senior Research Associate at Economic Growth and Development Cluster as well as a Research Associate in BIGD.
