The 21st internship program of the 58th batch of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) veterinary science faculty was inaugurated on Thursday at Syed Nazrul Islam conference hall.
This year, 191 students from the veterinary science faculty will take part in the internship program.
Under the chairmanship of Dean of DVM, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Awal, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A. K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan was present as the chief guest. Also in attendance were Student affairs advisor professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Haque, Proctor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Alim, Senior Regional Sales Manager of Eskayef Pharmaceuticals ltd, Emraul Kayes Rubel were present as special guests. 21st Internship Coordinator Prof. Dr. Md. Bahanur Rahman was also present.
Vice-chancellor professor Dr. A. K. Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan, emphasized that during the internship, students will not only provide animal medical services, but also directly observe how farmers care for animals and birds. This experience will help students understand the health and cleanliness issues related to livestock.
Finally, Dr. Bhuiyan encouraged students to pursue a career in veterinary medicine with dedication and to contribute to the country's socio-economic development through animal services.
At the end of the program, a raffle draw was held among the students and prizes were distributed among the winners.
