Despite having enormous potential, many Bangladeshi students fear speaking English. To reform this situation and reshape the students, Mohammad Amaan Ullah thought of starting the English Olympiad in 2016.
Looking back now, it wasn't that long since English Olympiad started its journey seven years ago, and now globally working in 100+ non-native English-speaking countries, allowing millions of students to showcase extraordinary linguistic proficiency.
English Olympiad is all about giving participants a platform to express their latent linguistic talent. To take our country to the next level, these young minds will be the pioneers. The whole world is becoming more advanced and challenging day by day.
To keep pace with it, we all must do our best at any cost at every opportunity. We all look forward to seeing them leading the world with Bangladesh's Flag in hand.
And to make them strong and at the same level as so many developed countries, Bangladesh, as a developing country, needs its learners to be able to work with developed countries and improve their skills and showcase their inner leaders. English Olympiad gives thousands of students the opportunity to improve their skills and work as future leaders.
"I wanted something that would increase knowledge and be fun for students at the same time. There was a desire in the students for more knowledge and I realised that English as a language could never be learnt just by memorising spellings," explains Mohammad Amaan Ullah.
English Olympiad successfully organised three seasons. Recently they organised the Theater Round of its third season, where prominent leaders of the country were present to inspire the youths to build themselves.
"As our motto is inspiring leadership, we are working to provide world-class leaders from our platform", Mohammad Amaan Ullah adds.
In the last years of activities, English Olympiad reached 20 million people to spread the importance of learning English to be a global citizen and lead the world to a better tomorrow.
The English Olympiad is more than just a platform. We reshape the students so that they can be the sharp sword for a better world. We are here to uphold a legacy—the legacy of building leaders.
