A four-day Finance Fest-2023 began on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus on Wednesday.
The Department of Finance and Banking is hosting the event on the premises of the Faculty of Business Studies.
JU pro-vice-chancellor (admin) Prof Sheikh Monzurul Huq inaugurated the finance fest through a cake-cutting ceremony.
He said events like the finance fest play a pivotal role in fostering connections between teachers and students beyond the classroom setting.
Prof Nilanjan Kumar Saha, dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, said, "The finance fest will serve as a valuable source of skills development for students beyond their academic studies."
The fest, being organised for second time, featured events like tree plantation, rally, flash mob, competitions in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentations, chess and quiz contest on the first day.
