The government has approved another private university. The new institution, named Justice Abu Zafar Siddique Science and Technology University, will be located in Kushtia.
The education ministry approved the university on July 7, subject to 22 conditions.
The approval of private universities started in 1992 to enhance opportunities for higher education and discourage students from going abroad.
