Grand finale of YUNet Speak Up Bangladesh 2025 held

Bangladesh witnessed a vibrant celebration of youth voice and leadership as the grand finale of English Therapy Presents YUNet Speak Up Bangladesh – National Public Speaking Championship 2025 concluded on Friday at the Canadian University of Bangladesh.
The event was organised by Youth Upskill Network-YUNet, said a press release.
After a fierce and inspiring round of speeches, three outstanding participants emerged victorious. Mashrura Meshkat Purno from Army IBA Sylhet secured champion position, receiving a cash prize, while Tasnimul Islam Afif from RUET claimed the first runner-up, and Adiba Sultana Alifa from Mohammadpur Preparatory School & College, Dhaka the second runner-up position.
All finalists were awarded trophies and certificates for their brilliant performances and inspiring oratory.
The finale was judged by a panel comprising Amaan Sulaiman, founder and chief organiser of English Olympiad, K M Hasan Ripon, Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, Solaiman Ahmed Jeshan, founder of Public Speaking Official (PSO), and Barrister Rafaelur Rahman Mehedi, National Governing body member of JCI Bangladesh.
Prof Dr H M Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor of Canadian University of Bangladesh, jointed the finale as the chief guest. In his speech, he applauded the initiative and highlighted the need for platforms that allow youth to express, influence, and lead.
Md Altamis Nabil, Co-Founder and CEO of YUNet, reflected on the power of public speaking as a tool for youth advocacy and personal growth. He said, “When young people find their voice, they begin to find their purpose. We created Speak Up Bangladesh to give them the courage and platform to express their ideas, challenge norms, and inspire change.”
Mahir Ashef, Co-founder and COO of YUNet, shared YUNet’s vision of nurturing articulate, confident, and impact-driven young leaders through meaningful programmes.
He remarked, “We believe real transformation starts with self-expression. Through initiatives like this championship, we aim to cultivate a generation that can speak with clarity, lead with empathy, and act with intention.”
