The deadline for this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam registration has been extended.
Under the new schedule, students will be able to complete registration formalities until Mar 31, by paying a late charge along with registration fees.
The updated deadline was published on the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education website on Wednesday.
Earlier, students were allowed to complete registration with regular fees from Mar 1 to Mar 9.
From Wednesday, the board permitted registration with a late fee of Tk 100 until Mar 18.
Dhaka board Exam Controller and Convenor of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers Committee Prof SM Kamal Uddin Haider told bdnews24.com, “The extended deadline will apply to all general education boards. Other boards are also issuing notices extending the deadline.”
The maximum registration fee has been set at Tk 2,995 for science students, while students from humanities and business studies streams will have to pay Tk 2,435.
Last year, the fee was Tk 2,785 for science students and Tk 2,225 for those in humanities and business studies, increasing by Tk 210 this year.
